STAFF
When your company is notified of an existing quality problem, FB Service will immediately dispatch supervised inspectors
to the desired location to represent your company. Working supervisors will always be included in our service during the entire
process while your product is inspected. We continually strive to remove the bulk of the burden of the inspection away from the
customer and the supplier during the assignment.
VISUAL INSPECTION
Visual quality inspection is a vital part of the mainstream of all FBS inspections. Because of this, all inspectors are screened
for vision as well as dexterity. The combination of both skills leads to better qualified and more efficient personnel.
PRODUCT GAGING
All FBS gages are calibrated on schedule and usage of each gage is recorded during any inspection of your product. This allows
product tracking during an inspection in the event there is any question or doubt that a gage was calibrated correctly. Our staff
is trained on the proper use and handling of all gages.
PRODUCT REWORK
In many instances, your company may request that a quality part defect be reworked to the acceptable standard. This service reduces
waste from scrap or eliminates freight charges from returning the non-conforming parts to your facility for rework. Rework may be possible
for certain defects during a normal inspection. At times rework may be necessary on 100 percent of your product. With the authorization of
your company, we will rework the non-conforming attribute to the specifications desired.
3RD PARTY CONTAINMENT
FB Service Corporation provides 3rd party containment inspections. Inspection requirement standards must be agreed upon
prior to beginning an inspection. All changes during an inspection must be in writing. Defect Trend and Defect Percentage Trend charts are
available upon request for all authorized parties involved in an inspection.
COLLECTION
OF DATA
FB Service Corporation inspectors automatically collect data during field
inspections. Standard data
collection forms are utilized by FBS inspectors to retrieve general lot
numbers, serial numbers, manufacture dates and operator numbers for each
part number inspected. Quality
defects are charted beside each control number and the findings are recorded for each
quality defect in question. Custom
field reports will be formulated for the convenience of your company upon request.
ANALYSIS
OF DATA
Unless otherwise requested, FBS staff generates computerized data reports from field reports derived during
inspections. Data reports are emailed to all authorized personnel immediately after the inspection is final,
daily or weekly, depending on the needs of your company. Personnel from your company may view data results
from the FB Service web site by using the Date Retrieval feature. A password will be issued upon your request
to allow any authorized user from your company to log on to your company's data files. There is no additional
assessment for formulating and transmitting these reports to your company. Our staff is available to develop custom detail reports
intended to assist your company with preventative and/or corrective action. |
